Hopen ()is an island in the southeastern part of the Svalbard archipelago (Norway). Norwegian Meteorological Institute (Norges Meteorologiske Institutt) operates a manned weather station on the island with a staff of four persons.
Edgeøya, occasionally anglicised as Edge Island, is an uninhabited Norwegian island in southeast of the Svalbard archipelago. An Arctic island, it forms part of the South East Svalbard Nature Reserve, home to polar bears and reindeer.
