Turkestan es un pueblo situado en el sureste de Kazajstán cerca del Sir Daria, sobre el ferrocarril Trans-Aral entre Ak-Mechet (Perovsk) al norte y Tashkent al sur. Es normalmente conocido como Turkestan, y fue originalmente llamada Yasi.
