イタリア共和国（イタリアきょうわこく、イタリア語表記：Repubblica Italiana）、通称イタリアは、ヨーロッパ南部の国。イタリア半島およびその付け根に当たる部分と、地中海に浮かぶ2つの大きな島（サルデーニャ島、シチリア島）からなる。北にあるアルプス山脈において、フランス、スイス、オーストリアと、またスロベニアとも国境を接する。サンマリノ、バチカンの領土を取り囲んでいる。
ギリシャ共和国（ギリシャきょうわこく）、通称ギリシャはヨーロッパの南東、バルカン半島最南端部に位置する国である。半島南部およびペロポネソス半島に加えエーゲ海を中心に存在する島嶼によって構成される。
トルコ共和国（トルコきょうわこく）、通称トルコ（土耳古）は西アジアのアナトリア半島（小アジア）と東ヨーロッパのバルカン半島東端の東トラキア地方とを領有する、アジアとヨーロッパの2つの州にまたがる共和国。首都はアナトリア中央部のアンカラ。

イラク共和国（イラクきょうわこく）は中東・西アジアの国である。首都はバグダード（バグダッド）。
イラン（ペルシア語:ایران Īrān）は西アジア・中東の国。ペルシアともいう。首都はテヘラン。北にアゼルバイジャン、アルメニア、トルクメニスタン、東にパキスタン、アフガニスタン、西にトルコ、イラクと境を接する。またペルシア湾をはさんでクウェート、サウジアラビア、バーレーン、カタール、アラブ首長国連邦に面する。国家としての正式名称はイラン・イスラム共和国。1979年のホメイニー師によるイラン・イスラム革命により、宗教上の最高指導者が国の最高権力を持つイスラム共和制を樹立しており、シーア派イスラームが国教である。
パキスタン・イスラム共和国（パキスタンイスラムきょうわこく）、通称パキスタンは、南アジアの国。東はインド、北東は中華人民共和国、北西はアフガニスタン、西はイランと国境を接し、南はインド洋に面する。
