サンアントニオ (San Antonio) は、テキサス州西部に位置する都市で、人口は123万人（2004年）、近年特に人口が急増している都市の1つとなっている。州西部の商業、金融、工業の中心地で食品業のほか、航空機、建築材など多種多様な工業が発展している。また、市の内外に空軍基地があり、軍事都市としての一面も持つ。一方で、西部時代を色濃く残し、独立戦争の傷跡であるアラモの砦や近年特に人気が高いリバー・ウォークなどがあり、年間1000万人以上が訪れる全米有数の観光都市としても発展。
ヒューストン (英語:Houston) は、アメリカ合衆国テキサス州最大の都市で、ニューヨーク、ロサンゼルス、シカゴに次ぐ全米第4位の人口を持つ都市である。
ダラス（英語:Dallas）はアメリカ合衆国テキサス州の北部に位置する商工業都市。エルム川とウェスト川の両河川の合流地帯にあり、古くから交通の拠点として発展し、今日でも金融、経済の中枢として機能する。人口は約121万人（2004年）で、州内ではヒューストン、サンアントニオに次ぐ。しかし、フォートワースを含めた都市圏人口は約522万人で、ヒューストンを凌いで州で一番である。
モンテレー (Monterrey) はメキシコ第三の都市でありヌエボ・レオン州の州都である。
フェニックス (Phoenix) は、アメリカ合衆国アリゾナ州中心部に位置する州都で、同州最大の都市でもある。人口は141万人（2004年）で、現時点で全米6位。

バハ・カリフォルニア・スル州(Estado de Baja California Sur) は、バハ・カリフォルニア半島の北緯28度線以南を占めるメキシコの州。2003年の人口は463,500人。
ソノラ州 (Estado de Sonora) は、メキシコ北西部に位置する州。東はチワワ州に接し、南はシナロア州、北西はバハ・カリフォルニア州に接する。
