トルコ共和国（トルコきょうわこく）、通称トルコ（土耳古）は西アジアのアナトリア半島（小アジア）と東ヨーロッパのバルカン半島東端の東トラキア地方とを領有する、アジアとヨーロッパの2つの州にまたがる共和国。首都はアナトリア中央部のアンカラ。
グルジアは、西アジア北端、南カフカス地方に位置する共和国。旧ソビエト連邦の構成国のひとつで、1991年に独立した。
レバノン共和国(レバノンきょうわこく）、通称レバノンは、西アジア・中東の国。首都はベイルート。
ブルガリア共和国（Republic of Bulgaria）、通称ブルガリア(ブルガリア語:България)は、東ヨーロッパの国。首都はソフィア。バルカン半島に位置し、北をルーマニア、西をセルビア、マケドニア、南をギリシャ、トルコと隣接し、東を黒海に面している。
アルメニア共和国（―きょうわこく）、通称アルメニアは西アジアに近接する国。首都はエレバン。黒海とカスピ海の間にある国で、西にトルコ、北にグルジア、東にアゼルバイジャン、南にイランとアゼルバイジャンの飛び地がある。1991年12月にソビエト連邦の解体により独立した。ナゴルノ・カラバフをめぐってアゼルバイジャンと激しく対立している。
キプロス共和国（キプロスきょうわこく）、通称キプロスは、トルコの南の東地中海上に位置するキプロス島1島からなる島国である。自然地理的な分類では多くの場合西アジアに含められるが、文明・文化的な観点からヨーロッパに分類されることもある。ヨーロッパ連合加盟国｡首都はニコシア。

北キプロス・トルコ共和国（きたキプロス トルコきょうわこく。トルコ語：Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti, 略称KKTC。英語：Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, 略称TRNC）は、キプロス島の北部を実質的に統治する政体。1983年に軍事的な後ろ盾となっている隣国トルコの承認を得て、キプロス共和国からの独立を宣言した。
ブクレシュティ（Bucureşti）は、ルーマニア南部・ワラキアにある同国の首都。マジャル（ハンガリー）語ではブカレシュト（Bukarest）、ドイツ語ではブカレスト（Bukarest）、英語ではビューカレスト（Bucharest）という。日本では「ブカレスト」と呼ぶことが多く、以下「ブカレスト」と呼称する。
